Quality swimwear is an investment. With a little care, your Malaika pieces can last for years. Here's how to protect them.
Rinse Immediately After Swimming
Chlorine and salt water break down elastane fibres. Rinse your swimwear in cool, clean water immediately after leaving the pool or sea — even before you change.
Hand Wash, Always
Machine washing — even on delicate cycle — can damage underwires and stretch fabric. Hand wash in cool water with a gentle detergent. Never use fabric softener.
Dry Flat in Shade
Direct sunlight fades colours and degrades elastic. Lay flat (never hang — this stretches the fabric) in a shaded, airy spot to dry naturally.
Rotate Your Pieces
Elastane needs 24 hours to recover its shape between wears. If you're swimming daily, rotate between at least two pieces.
Store Carefully
Fold (don't roll) and store flat. Keep away from rough surfaces that could snag delicate fabric or underwire channels.
